Traditional Festival Sees Twins Return

The traditional Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival has provided pop duo Twins an opportunity for reunion.

Members of the Hong Kong girl group, Charlene Choi and Gillian Chung, made a rare public appearance together on Sunday in quake-hit Beichuan of Sichuan Province, celebrating the festival with locals.

They were joined by fellow singer Yumiko Cheng who, like Twins, was in Beichuan because of quake-benefit efforts made by their agent company Emperor Entertainment Group.

Gillian Chung, who was embroiled in a nude photo scandal in January, has been volunteering in Beichuan for about a week, Hong Kong media reported.

Twins went on almost complete hiatus after the scandal, and Charlene Choi had to attend promotional activities alone.

Gillian Chung (Ah Gill) secretly flew to Leigu Town in Si Chuan yesterday to volunteer, to spend Mid-Autumn Festival with the children there. It is known that Charlene Choi (Ah Sa) would fly there to join her later today. And they would perform together as Twins for the children.

Yesterday, Ah Gill and Yumiko joined Medecins Sans Frontieres social workers to travel to Si Chuan to volunteer. To prevent attracting the attention of troublesome reporters, Ah Gill decided to stay by herself at De Yang Camp, so every morning at 8:30, she would have to drive to Leigu Town. The time to go back and forth takes about 4 hours.

Yesterday, Ah Gill and Yumiko became lacquer (painting) workers, painting mud columns blue. Seeing her paint and wipe away her sweat, she was so excited upon completion that she grabbed a group of friends to take pictures in front of it in remembrance.

Not picky with regards to eating
Ah Gill and Yumiko played ‘Eagle Catching Chicks’ (麻鷹捉雞仔) with the children. During that time, one of the kids fell and Ah Gill rushed over to help him up and helped him brush dirt of his knees. Ah Gill isn’t picky with food and would join the big team to eat street food every day.

It is known that Ah Sa will be flying to Si Chuan today to join Ah Gill in volunteering. And they will be singing for the kids. Since the photos scandal, Twins have not publicly sung together for over half a year.

Stephy Tang and Kary Ng were having their photo session for the 絕代雙嬌 poster.
In 絕代雙嬌 they played the role of twins. Therefore they have to be identical in many ways including their little habits. Stephy was asked what Kary was like, She replied "she is a tom boy, when she sits down, her legs are apart. Very difficult to learn how she frowns"

Kary said "Stephy always runs her hair with her fingers, she is not like what other people think that she fancies herself." Ah Sa from the Hong Kong pop duo 'Twins', hosted a meeting for her fans to coincide with the release of her new music video, 'Make a Wish.'

The tune is the theme song for a U.S.-based global charity foundation called 'Make a Wish Foundation.'

The singer said that only 3000 records will be sold, and all the proceeds will be donated to the foundation.
