After a couple of months of casting and internet votes, the romantic comedy of the year “Fit Lover” has finally found its 12 leading male actors. The cast includes Chinese stars such as Deng Chao, Fan Wei, Huang Lei, Huang Xiaoming, Lu Yi, Lin Shen, Nie Yuan, Ren Quan, Tong Dawei and Zhang Junning.
Under the watchful eye of Chinese director Zhang Jianya, the film is now being shot in Beijing. All 12 actors will play out their love stories starring opposite Hong Kong actress Karena Lan.
Huang Lei, well known for playing gentleman-type roles, says he knows the place his character has in this movie.
Huang Lei, said, “Each of us is a participant in this film but Karena’s role is the real leading character. We just have to help her express herself as much as she can.”
Karena Lan has built her reputation on films such as “Silk”, “Inner Senses”, “Anna & Anna” and “Koma”, all of them from the suspense genre. Even Karena calls herself the“horror movie queen”.
