29 Gentlemen appeared on TVB's <Mr. Hong Kong 2010> first round of auditions. Among them, 12 will be chosen as the finalists. Arashi members throw a Wii Party!

All Arashi members came together to film a new CM for “Wii Party“.

In a previous CM, one of the members, Sakurai Sho, made a portrait character (Mii) for the other members. The new CM is a continuation of that, in which all of the members show up and play their Mii’s.

According to the members, it has been a long time since they last played a game together. Matsumoto Jun said, “We forgot it was work, and just enjoyed the game together.”

The CMs will air on June 30th, and “Wii Party” will be released on July 8th.

Actor Park Yong Ha commits suicide at age 32

Korean actor and singer Park Yong Ha was found dead in Seoul Nonhyundong on the 30th (KST), hanging lifeless from a cell phone charging cable at his own house.

According to police, Park Yong Ha was discovered dead at around 5:30 AM by his mother. The cause of death is likely suicide, but further details are still under wraps. Although this news was just announced, 'Park Yong Ha' immediately took the number one spot on Naver and other search engines across Korea.

It's also been reported that Mr. Park was seen walking to his room after massaging his father's legs and back at around 0:40 AM. Park Yong Ha was repeatedly saying "I am sorry" to his family and his father, who is suffering from terminal stomach cancer.

Park Yong Ha is well-known for his roles in many hit dramas, including Winter Sonata, Men's Story and On Air. Thanks to those successful roles, Park Yong Ha was quite famous in Japan as well. TTV’s production of the 21st Golden Melody Awards hasn’t received much love ever since it aired last Saturday. Despite all the criticisms, it still managed to score the best ratings in GMA history with an average of 5.2%, attracting over 5.6 million viewers. The most-watched segment was Best Mandarin Female Singer with 7.51%, while speeches by government officials (including Vice President Vincent Siew) was the lowest rated at 3.18%.

JYP Ent is looking to groom a performing band through open auditions

JYP Entertainment is set to hold its first band audition in Seoul Arts College.

Through this live performing audition held for the very first time by the agency, JYP Entertainment is looking for vocalists, guitarists (acoustic, electric, bass), drummer, pianist and synthesizers born between 1987 to 1997.

Interested participants are to submit their performing clips through TVPot (tvpot.daum.net) by 5th July. Those who pass the online audition will get to perform live at Seoul Arts College SAC Art Centre coming 10th July. Those chosen at the auditions will be given a chance to be trained under JYP Entertainment’s training system, and may also be given an admission scholarship by SeJong Arts School.

DBSK trio’s lawyer rules news reports stating demand of 30 billion KRW in compensation as false reports

It seems that the several news articles that surfaced on 28th June on various Korean news portals reporting that Dong Bang Shin Ki trio (Hero JaeJoong, Micky YooChun and Xiah JunSu) demands compensation of 30 billion KRW in all from SM Entertainment may had been false reports.

In a latest report by isplus, the lawyer of the trio have denied those reports. Lawyer Lim Sang Hyuk of Sejong stated, “We have asked that SM Entertainment pay each member one billion Won first. The amount we file for compensation will increase but ten billion Won, which is the amount reported in some news articles, is a false report. We have not yet decided upon a final compensation amount.”
