When Sharon Chan was filming "Can't buy me love", she accidentally sprained her neck. She reckoned it was due to her wearing the heavy head gear. She had an X-ray and the doctor found some of her cervical bones have been shifted. Sharon was in so much pain that she couldn't move her head. She needed to have physiotherapy for a month.

Sharon was doing a show for a jeweler the other night. She looked a bit stiff, she said she had become a "Stiff neck 4". Although she was still in pain, nevertheless, she finished the show. After the event, she told reporter "The doctor told me I had an old injured on my neck before, and the head gear I was wearing was very heavy. That may have been the cause of my problem. The neck bones were out of place and were pressing on the nerve, causing me so much pain. I couldn't even lift my arms up. I have to wear the collar to protect my neck. Fortunately, the filming is nearly finished. The company have told me not to risk it. I will take some time off work to rest."

Fans couldn’t get enough of FT Island

K-pop idol group FT Island capped their Philippine promo tour with a successful concert on March 6 at the Plenary Hall of the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC).

Thousands of fans cheered as the five members performed songs from their albums in SpinManila’s FT Island Manila 2010 Showcase.

“One of the best days of my life,” one fan wrote on www.primadonnaph.co.nr, forum for Filipino fans of FT Island, about her experience in seeing the boy band in person.

Another fan said, “Seeing all five of them is just so amazing”.

Among the songs the band performed were “I Hope,” “Love Sick,” “Raining” and “Bing, Bing, Bing.”

Lead vocalist Lee Hongki also sang “Still,” a song from the official soundtrack of the Korean drama “You’re Beautiful” in which he also starred. ABS-CBN will soon air the drama series in the Philippines.

The Showcase is part of the Asian promo tour of FT Island. Their last stop will be in Shanghai, China this month.

Last March 5, some 50 lucky fans got to meet the five members in person in an exclusive fan meeting at Marriott Hotel in Pasay City.

In the meeting, the boy band performed and answered written requests by the fans. The members personally distributed signed photo books and CDs to the fans.

Fans said they hope FT Island will come back to the Philippines for a full concert.

FT Island will be flying to Japan this March to prepare for the launching of their new single on May 19. They will spend several months there before going back to South Korea to launch a new album.

Hongki said they will return to Korea late 2010.

Japan is the second largest music market in the world next to the US.

FT Island’s “So Long, Au Revoir” album ranked sixth on Japan’s Oricon Top 10 weekly indie albums chart last January.

FT Island has had a steady career since debuting in the Korean music scene in 2007.

ORANGE RANGE vocalist HIROKI (26) has been married since last month, it was learned on Saturday. The band announced the news on their official website.

HIROKI registered his marriage in February. His wife is not in show business, and he chose not to reveal any personal details such as her age or the length of their relationship.

Of the band's five current members, HIROKI is the third one to reveal that he is married. Bassist YOH (26) tied the knot in 2007, and vocalist RYO (24) got married in 2008.

Fiona Sit and Jason Chan attended a fun raising activity for Tung Wah Hospital yesterday. The two of them acted as a make up artists for the children, and baked cookies with the people with disabilities. Fiona revealed that her first job was a web designer before going to university. She earned about 6,000HKD a month. Half of her pay went to house keeping. She had to travel from Yuen Long to Causway Bay everyday, therefore she had to get up at 6 O'clock in the morning.
