Yesterday Moses Chan, Charmaine Sheh and Sharon Chan were filming for the ancient drama "Can't Buy Me Love" (also known as Arrival of Princess). Although there were earlier reports of Moses and Charmaine flirting onset, yesterday everyone could see that the pair were totally focused on their work with no signs of embarassment in their chit-chat.

Sharon was wearing a neck brace when she didn't need to be on film, and reporters asked afterwards for the reason. "These head accessories are way too heavy, my neck, hands and fingers are also sore and in pain!" Charmaine laughed, adding, "When I was filming "Beyond the Realm of Conscience", I tried driving with the head accessories on, but because they were too long, I had to open the sunroof to drive, letting the top of the accessory stick out the top!"

Bernice Liu ignores rumours

Bernice, also rumoured to be a girlfriend of Moses', couldn't care less about the heated rumours of a relationship between Moses and Charmaine. Yesterday at a public event, reporters questioned Bernice about her thoughts on Charmaine's intentions to sue a magazine company about their false reports regarding her relationship with Moses. "I haven't seen Charmaine, so I won't be trying to ask about that. It's also none of my business so I have no comment... also it's a new year, these things are already in the past." She also revealed that she hasn't seen Moses in the new year, but had showed recent pictures of her niece to him, looks like their relationship is quite complicated!

Kim Jae-wook (Antique Bakery) and T-MAX’s rapper Kim Joon (Boys Before Flowers) have been cast as the leads of a new Korean-Japanese co-production called Pygmalion’s Love (subtitle: Give Me Your Memory). The project is a “mobile drama,” meaning that it will not air on television but be available as mobile phone content.

The plot deals with a woman, Mika, who loses all memories of her boyfriend. Playing Mi-ka is Japanese actress Minamisawa Nao (of the Japanese drama Dandy Daddy and film Akai Ito), and Kim Joon is the boyfriend Hyung-joon, who “experiences the conflict between friendship and love.” That’s probably because his friend Ki-young (Kim Jae-wook) somehow comes to act as Mika’s boyfriend instead, setting up the three for their love triangle. The meaning of the title isn’t given, although I suppose it has to do with Ki-young falling for Mika based on a false pretenses. (In Greek mythology, Pygmalion is a sculptor who fell in love with his own creation. The story has inspired numerous others, such as the George Bernard Shaw play and the musical My Fair Lady.)

Pygmalion’s Love comes from PD Kim Yoon-chul, who directed My Name Is Kim Sam-soon and Que Sera Sera. Kim Joon said, “I’m happy to be working with director Kim Yoon-chul, whom I’ve always respected. This is a valuable experience for me to learn as an actor.”

The drama is produced by Office Hara (Korea) and AVEX (Japan), and began filming in early February. After wrapping its month-long shoot in Korea, the first installment will be released on March 20 via mobile content provider BeeTV, which will show one new installment every Thursday.

Meanwhile, if you’d rather wait to see Kim Jae-wook on television, his next TV drama role comes in SBS’s Bad Guy (starring Kim Nam-gil and Han Ga-in), which is looking at a May premiere.

Yoo Seung Jun (Steve Yoo) recently filmed a movie for a Jackie Chan movie titled “Little Big Soldier (aka Junior Soldiers)”, he spent some time off from his busy schedule in Hong Kong for a brief sit down interview.

Not many of you may be familiar with this man and only know him through our articles so here’s just a memory refresher: Yoo Seung Jun grew up in Los Angeles as a teenager and came to Korea in his late teens to become a singer. He was one of the top K-Pop singers in the 90’s and hit his peak in the late 90s with hits like Passion, Scissors, NaNaNa, I Will Be Back and more.

Things were going good until he hit the mandatory military controversy. Yoo Seung Jun was exiled from Korea when he acquired an American citizenship to avoid doing his mandatory military service. Previous to getting his American Citizenship, Yoo Seung Jun stated many times that he would fulfill his obligation and duty to serve as a Korean male in the military. There was much backlash after this and he was kicked out of the country as this move was seen as a betrayal and he was viewed as unpatriotic. There’s been much controversy about whether he was in the right or wrong and if he even deserved the punishment he got. Recently, people have been comparing this controversy to 2PM’s Jaebeom, but in the latter scenario he left on his own whim instead of being forced out.

Yoo Seung Jun got emotional when he talked about his deportation. He stated that he never really had time to properly explain himself. He hopes that one day Korea can forgive him but for the time being he isn’t expecting forgiveness.

Yoo Seung Jun also shared his thoughts on the Jaebeom situation stating, “My heart goes out to him. I wondered how he could continue on after such an incident. As a young man he made a mistake but if people make mistakes, if given the opportunity of a second chance, don’t you think he could grow and blossom into something much larger?”

If anyone knows how Jaebeom feels, it should be this guy. Hopefully it’s a better outcome for Jaebeom though, Yoo Seung Jun is a touchy subject but I wish him the best of luck and hopefully things will work out for him.

Edaily SPN reported that Lee Soo Man will resign from SM Entertainment and that Avex Entertainment has sold off all shares of SM Entertainment.

Apparently, SM is stating that Lee Soo Man is resigning so that SM can focus on investments and business development overseas, however I don’t see the correlation between the two events. Regardless, Lee Soo Man will no longer be engaged in business activities, however he will still remain the major stakeholder, acquiring another 1.5% of shares from Avex, making his total share of SM Entertainment, 28.3%.

In addition, the relationship between SM Entertainment and Avex Entertainment seems to be over, as Avex sold all 15.4% of their shares, with Neowizbugs acquiring the majority of it.

Avex Entertainment used to assist in promotions of SM Entertainment artists within the Japanese market, including TVXQ.

SM Entertainment was founded by Lee Soo Man on February 14, 1995.

So what does this mean for TVXQ? We’re not sure, but seeing that Avex Entertainment has sold all of SM Entertainment’s shares, it doesn’t look like good news.

t will be the first time in 7 years that the male and female representative sexy stars Rain and Lee Hyori perform on stage in the same time period.

It is planned that Lee Hyori will be releasing her 4th album late-March and Rain will also be releasing his special album early-April. With news that the 2 mega stars will be releasing new albums 1~2 weeks apart, fans are unable to contain their excitement.

Rain also talked about it when he met up with reporters at an event he was attending on 22nd February, “I heard that I would be promoting in the same time period as Lee Hyori. It has been 7 years since it last happened. I’m excited too. As much as time has flown, each of us will be back with great performances.”

The previous time the 2 stars promoted together in the same time period was in the earlier half of 2003. Lee Hyori was promoting the 2nd song from her 1st album and Rain was promoting ‘How to avoid the sun’ from his 2nd album.

With the 2 mega stars promoting in the same time period, the synergy effect was just amazing. One of the more impressionable scene will be their special stage at one of the movie award ceremonies. The 2 had put up a tango performance together. They also met again on SBS Family Outing in October 2008.

Much anticipation as to whether the king or the queen will reign the Kpop circle.

GTV idol drama ‘Love Buffet’ stopped filming due to the 88 typhoon. Filming was scheduled to resume in March but now, there are rumours saying the drama crew want to change the female lead Qiao Qiao. Many scenes will have to be re-filmed, and the losses are evidently high.

‘Love Buffet’ was originally slated to air after GTV’s ‘Down With Love’ which is currently airing. However, with the recent rumours of changing the female lead, this could most likely change.

Calvin Chen, Aaron Yan & Joanne Zheng (Qiao Qiao)’s ‘Love Buffet’ met many obstacles during the filming process. First, the original filming location – Maolin National Park was severely damaged by the 88 typhoon, leaving the crew with no choice but to stop filming, and find an alternative location. This also caused a huge chaos with the cast’s individual schedules, and the drama producer lost $2million at the time.

There are also rumours saying that GTV is unhappy with the development of the plot, and the drama pairings. Furthermore, they think the female lead Qiao Qiao is too old for her character, and her appearance looks older than the 2 male leads, hence the crew are considering to replace her.

Previously, there were also love rumours between Qiao Qiao and Calvin Chen. Perhaps this is the reason why they want to replace her? GTV yesterday denied this claim.

Marketing director Cai Fei Qiao revealed that the production company have already confirmed to change the female lead, but the reason is because Qiao Qiao’s schedule is unable to co-operate. GTV also expressed that currently, there are no potential candidates for the new female lead. They will wait for the script to be modified, and then find a suitable person.

Currently, ‘Down With Love’ Taiwan ratings have been affected by the DVD piracy in mainland China. GTV have invited Ella & Jerry to attend a White Day celebration event on March 14th, expecting to create another hot topic.
