From April 9, Cheer Chen began to perform at "Riverside" for five consecutive days. Tickets were practically sold out in seconds and she called fans "creators of Taiwanese music history miracles". After performing at venues with tens of thousands of people overseas and in Taiwan, returning to pubs with a few hundred people, decorated with carpet and lights from home, it feels as comfortable as singing at home. Cheer said, "Suddenly when I extend my hand I think, [the audience] feels very close, I'm a bit not used to it."

Cheer Chen who is one of a kind in the entertainment industry, has recently become very popular. Her sweet, gently voice reflects the different emotions experienced by couples in love. This type of music which is full of contrasts, was noticed by theatre director Wang Jiaming who produced an adaptation of "Once, Upon Hearing the Skin Tone" <膚色的時光> inspired by Cheer Chen's music. Knowing her music can arouse sympathy in everyone, Cheer is very happy. For the first time, she walked into the recording studio hearing actors interpreting her own work, it felt fresh and also enjoyable.

Even artist Chen Luoke drew a portrait of her for a charity arts auction. Once she started talking with the artist, Cheer who seems quiet, couldn't stop talking. 40 minutes later, Che Luoke's complete sketch was not as good as she expected, almost missing some charm, she laughed saying, "Maybe because I was moving about, [the sketch] doesn't look like me!"

Once tonight's performance is complete, Cheer Chen will have a half-month rest. Since she likes reading, she's worried that when she goes shopping for books, she won't be able to carry them all so she has decided to order online instead. Buying 20 books at a time, her hands don't get the least bit tired. Taking advantage of this break, she will be enjoying her free time, immersed in a sea of books.

After School has finally joined the ranks of "A-list" singers, because Wang Bi Ho (real name Yoon Hyung Bin) has unleashed his tongue. Famous for only targeting popular groups/singers.

"After School, yeah, they've been doing well lately. They've got a very mature stage manner unlike most rookies. Mature faces that don't look like rookies as well? Why do you guys look so old~ The group name is After School, but your faces are more like After Work" He then made fun of them through their shortened "AS" title as well. He told them "Wow, good name. A/S a little?" hinting that they had gotten their faces fixed a little. (A/S is a service that you call when things are broken. They'll fix things for you.)

He also targeted the newest member, UEE, next saying that she looked like a student who was taking a break from school. He also talked about Park Ga Hee saying "She used to be in a group called S-Brush with Son Dam Bi and even made it to 2nd on billboard charts. She also has a six pack. But what's the use of a singer having a six pack. They've got to be able to sing well." Even internet ulzzang Lee Ju Yeon couldn't escape Wang Bi Ho's "vicious" attacks. He held up an ulzzang picture of her and said "The ones who made it by being an ulzzang really are different. Their photos and their real faces are completely different. The photoshop is amazing.]"

After School officially started activities for their new mini-album on the 9th and are now active as singers. Their song 'Diva' has been gaining a lot more interest.

CUT

Looks like no popular celebrity is safe, singer or actor (or in this case both). Popularly known as Boys Over Flower's F4 member Kim Joon couldn't escape his view either.

When being introduced as the person who played Boys Over Flower's Song Woo Bin, Wang Bi Ho replied "Oh, the guy left over after Goo Joon Pyo, Yoon Ji Hoo, and So Yi Jeong?" He went on further by saying "Kim Joon really has value as an actor. I mean, he's the character that is always with Goo Joon Pyo and Yoon Ji Hoo in the drama. To say that Goo Joon Pyo is the main character is a misjudgment because Goo Joon Pyo and Yoon Ji Hoo both have significant roles in the drama. Furthermore, So Yi Jeong has his own love story that was going on...and then the drama finished?"

Wang Bi Ho also included T-Max by mentioning "I thought T-Max was the name of a shoe brand. It makes my heart hurt when I see the other members of the group. After believing that everything would be okay as soon as Kim Joon returned, their first official schedule together is being 'Gag Concert's audience."

Singer-songwriter Kenji Wu KeQun and "Sweetheart Priestess" Cyndi Wang XinLing got together a few days ago to film a set of commercials for a certain convenience store (7-11)'s line of breakfast foods. In addition to recognizing and believing in Kenji and Cyndi's overall popularity, Kenji's strength and talent for songwriting, and Cyndi's health and physique, the store liked their "fresh, pure, and energetic" images. They thus invited the pair to spokesmodel for their breakfast line. While filming the commercial, the couple's tacit agreement was extremely obvious!

The commercials feature four different "styles," including one for office workers, one for students, one that is more athletic, and one that is very casual; together, the four "types" show that 7-11's line of breakfast foods is suitable for all types of "healthy" people. Kenji was given the task of creating the commercial song-- he wrote the melody, the lyrics, and the musical arrangement. His inspiration certainly wasn't lacking; Kenji finished the whole thing in just three days!

This is Cyndi's very first commercial after her move to Gold Typhoon. Additionally, one of the "styles" of the commercials puts her back in a schoolgirl's uniform-- a "style" she hasn't touched in quite some time. She was, thus, very excited!

At the fitting, Cyndi said happily to the stylist, "I've heard that some fans on-line have said they'd like to see me in a uniform again. This commercial can fulfill their wishes!"

The "look" Cyndi herself looked forward to most, however, was that of an "office worker." She has never worked in an office before; when she saw her "office lady (OL)" attire, she said, pleased, "This is the type of style I'm normally least likely to wear! I hope that everyone will take advantage of this opportunity to look at 'office lady' Cyndi!"
Kenji Shows Off His Gentlemanly Manners; Takes Special Care of Cyndi

While working with Cyndi on the commercial, Kenji showed off his gentlemanly manners, taking special care of her. Knowing that Cyndi's work schedule is extremely full lately, Kenji squeezed time out of his recording schedule to match hers. He thoughtfully left the large dressing room for Cyndi to use; he also specially asked the director to film the girl's solo portions first-- thus allowing her a little more time to rest.

Additionally, Kenji, who hates "awkward" silences, took on the task of keeping the work atmosphere happy and cheerful. His playful bantering and horseplay with Cyndi filled the site with the sounds of laughter.

TOKYO —SMAP leader Masahiro Nakai, 36, and actress Aya Ueto, 23, will star in an upcoming Fuji TV drama called "Konkatsu!" – an abbreviated term for "kekkon katsudo" or "marriage-hunting," coined in recent years to describe a pro-active approach to finding a marriage partner.

Nakai plays a man in his mid-30s who is devoted to his work and hasn't given much thought to getting married, but suddenly finds himself out of a job amid the economic downturn. He considers working for the family "tonkatsu" (pork cutlet) business but finds an ad for a part-time position at the local ward office. The ad stipulates they are looking for someone who is already married, and the man lies in his application, saying he is. After this, he starts looking for a partner, and enlists the help of his friends, family and colleagues.

At a press conference to promote the drama, Ueto asked Nakai what three things he wants in a marriage partner, and he said: "I'd like a woman who goes to bed early, someone who can be by herself, and let me be by myself, and thirdly she has to be a good cook and make a good breakfast."

Nakai returned the question and Ueto said: "He has to be diligent or serious, is polite, and can make me feel safe." She also said that she wants to get married before she turns 30, and wants to master all the house chores.

It's the first time for Ueto to play a leading role in the coveted Monday 9 p.m. slot, and it has been more than 10 years for Nakai. Tatsuya Ueda, member of J-pop group KAT-TUN, 25, and actress-celebrity Yumiko Shaku, 30, will also appear in the drama.

"Konkatsu!" will air from April 20.

Michael Miu & Maggie Cheung: 1 Take of a kiss scene is not enough

Michael Miu and Maggie Cheung were filming for a kiss scene last night. Maggie thought that the first take was too shallow, therefore she requested for a re-take. Michael also said that he only started doing intimate scenes with female co-stars after his comeback, but he's not afraid that his wife Jamie Chik will be jealous.

Michael and Maggie were in Sandy Bay beach in Sai Kung filming for new series "The Pride of My Husband", during filming, many passerbyers called out Michael's name as "Hau Gor", seems like "E.U." has been a big hit. Although Michael and Maggie both have a partner in real life, but during filming, they were both very professional. Before filming, they would communicate with each other about the scene for the best result. After filming the kiss scene, the two would be in a hurry to watch the playback, they felt that the first take was too shallow and even took the initiative in requesting for a re-take. Michael also highly praises that Maggie and him are a good match.
