"Da Dong" Jiro Wang and Wu Chun are again fighting for top male position in Fahrenheit! Da Dong's new drama [ToGetHer] has yet to show brilliant in Taiwan's ratings but it has been widely supported overseas. Especially since it has been airing in Singapore lately, ratings even beat Wu Chun's [Hana Kimi]. Da Dong has been dominating significantly.

Fahrenheit has left no stone unturned, achieving popularity in Taiwan, Hong Kong, South-East Asia, Japan and Korea. Within the quartet, Wu Chun was the first to "fly solo" by choosing to be lead of an idol drama while Jiro Wang followed later on. [Rolling Love] and [ToGetHer] were both dramas that the company had tailor-made for him while after filming movie [Butterfly Lovers] and being busy with Fahrenheit concerts, Wu Chun is still choosing scripts and he has temporarily stopped accepting acting projects.

Da Dong's charm beats Entertainment Big Brother

Da Dong's new drama [ToGetHer] has left no stone unturned in overseas ratings. At the end of last month, they personally went to promote in Singapore and sure enough, it was effective. When it aired on Singapore's Channel U, ratings reached 7.7. This timeslot has aired Takeshi Kaneshiro's [Perhaps Love], Taiwanese variety shows [Entertainment Big Brother] 綜藝大哥大 and [Jacky Go Go Go] but none have reached this result and it even beat Wu Chun's [Hana Kimi]'s record of 5.9, creating a new ratings record for idol dramas airing in Singapore. Calculating in accordance with Singapore's population, [ToGetHer] has attracted 290,000 viewers. Jiro Wang's idol charm has beaten Entertainment Big Brother Zhang Fei and Jacky Wu. Moreover, [ToGetHer] will soon air in Brunei, snatching top male in South-East Asia Wu Chun's territory!

Hearing about drama's ratings, Da Dong was very happy but being accused of snatching Wu Chun's territory, he said jokingly, "We're all one family, snatching territory doesn't matter!" Moreover, he wants to invite Rainie Yang to Brunei for a trip and when the time comes, they can even ask Wu Chun to be their tour guide!

Big Bang’s first mainstream CF - Hite Beer CF

Idol group Big Bang will model for their first mainstream CF.

Big Bang was been recently selected to model for Hite Beer. In the CF, Big Bang will be dressed as firefighters and will be enjoying the refreshing drink with their friends and will also be doing a mini-concert.

This beer CF will be a challenge on Big Bang’s idol image. Of the 5 members, TOP is 23 years old, GDragon 22, TaeYang 22, DaeSung 21 and SeungRi 20. They are the youngest celebrities to endorse the beer so far.

Big Bang released their full-length album last year, followed by doing a big-scale concert and then releasing their own book. Right now, the group is focusing on solo activities of the 5 members.

SS501 Kim HyunJoong (23) who gained a lot of love through his role as ex-president’s grandson Yoon JiHoo in drama ‘Boys Over Flowers’, had expressed his gratitude to his fans through his group’s official homepage.

In the message that Kim HyunJoong wrote on 05-Mar, “Thank you for the popularity award. Sorry for saying my gratitude late” After delivering his greetings, he continued “You wouldn’t know how stressed it is to be switching temporary from a singer to an actor and how nerve-wreaking it is”

He also emphasized “Though it was difficult, it seems like I was able to pull through because of all our Triple S” & “Right now, not much time left until the end of my drama-acting life, I will work hard until the end and show you my good work”

Kim HyunJoong expressed his determination “After the drama ends, I will come back again as Kim HyunJoong but up till now, I want to do my best as Yoon JiHoo, as an actor” & “Though YoungSaeng is currently the leader, I will retake back the role as leader of SS501 and have a new start”

Junjin: The desperation of seeing 0 in my bank account made me who I am today

Rising to the status of idol star together with the rest of Shinhwa, and then becoming a force to be reckoned with in the variety world, Junjin shared with us the secret behind his successful transformation.

During a recent interview with Sports Seoul, we asked Junjin, “Don’t the other Shinhwa members envy you for being so active in the variety circle?” His reply - “Dongwan hyung texted me and asked me, ‘What do I need to do to fare as well as you?’ and I asked him in return if he had ever experienced not having a single cent in his bank account.”

“After being cheated several times, I ended with a zero in my bank account. And after having been through that, when I started working on ‘Infinite Challenge’, I didn’t think about my image as an idol at all, I just unconditionally worked hard at it. Seems that doing that got me the recognition from the viewers.”

Haha, who was the one of the original IC members but had to leave for military service, also sent Junjin a text message to encourage him. Junjin said, “I’m already close to Haha hyung to being with, when I got confirmed as an IC member, Haha hyung sent me a message that read, ‘Work hard on my behalf too!’ That really gave me a lot of strength.”

JJ: A lot of people eat "Chijimi" in Korea when it rains. ("Chijimi" is a kind of Korean food which resembles pancakes) I miss the taste of chijimi when it rains -laughs-. But I feel more hungry than relaxed when I think of the taste of chijimi.

Q: What does love feel like to you?
JJ: When we're rehearsing for our concerts. I sincerely feel that the other 4 are really good-looking when I look at them on stage as I watch them from the seats. Then I'd remember that I'm a member of TVXQ too, and I feel really blessed. I'd want to see the other members if I do get a 10-day break. Because we're together all the time normally. We only get 10 days of rest in the 365 days we have a year; we're together the rest of the time. I would want to see them during those 10 days as well because we live together. This wouldn't change even if I get married. My love for the members is such that I'd still want to see them, even if we meet every day.

Q: The difference between "love" and "relationship"?
JJ: "Love" is a combination of the most precious feelings; "relationship" makes one's heart feel touched, but doesn't necessarily result in an ending. Its more of a superficial thing.

YH: The "10 Year Plan" was written when I was in Middle School, and I never re-wrote it. Its a little embarrassing/awkward to read it now. -laughs- Even so, I've completed about 70% of what I wrote. I realized my dream of becoming an artiste, and I also managed to donate a scholarship to my High School last year. I'll also work hard to achieve all the goals that I've written down in my list, which even the members haven't seen.
I admire my father even if I look at him for just 2 seconds. As a man, I think he's the "man of all men" and as a woman, I'd think that he would be "the best kind of man". He's a father that I'm very proud of.

Q: What are you like when you're drunk?
CM: I'd become very talkative and happy. Alcohol is a happy thing.

Q: You play the guitar, how's it been recently?
CM: I've been skiving recently -laughs-. I've been obsessed over Korean online games with the other members lately. The game is really popular. I became addicted once I started playing it, and I became oblivious to all other things.

Japaneses F4 member comments on mainland "F4"

Abe Tsuyoshi, the Chinese-Japanese actor of Hana Yori Dango's Mimasaka Akira, was interviewed on Sohu today and commented on the mainland F4.

He says that of the four, he knows Vision Wei Chen and Yu Haoming. Upon viewing the group picture, he said that Vision(playing Ye Shuo) looks the most like Rui; Yu Haoming(Duan Mulei) looks like Domyouji; and Zhu Zixiao(Shangguan Ruiqian) looks like Akira.

"I think Wei Chen should be Rui. I think he has the eyes of Rui and the empty look. He has his own world."

He also gave advice for the new "F4"

"It's impossible to be like other versions because for one thing, we don't look the same. Don't worry about the audience's expecations. As an actor, you must first understand your character completely."

[MV Preview] BoA - I Did It For Love

At BoA’s first U.S. album release party at Zune in Los Angeles on March 3, a music video preview for “I Did It For Love” was released. She continues promoting her album as it drops on March 17, and on that day she’ll be signing at the Virgin Megastore in Los Angeles, and another signing on March 19 at the Virgin Megastore in San Francisco (lucky Californians!).

Additionally, her official website has been updated to being promoting his debut album, “BoA.”
