Fahrenheit's Jiro Wang, Arron Yan, Wu Chun and Calvin Chen took on the challenge of TTV's "Million Dollar Elementary Student Hall" (百萬小學堂), the four of them dividing into pairs to compete. Both teams persevered until the $100,000 question, where they were defeated. Little Swallow could not help but to say, "Even idol groups have a lot of intelligence."

The first notice about the new album was given to Little Swallow's "Million Elementary Student Hall". Jiro and Arron were first on stage; they were so nervous that their whole body trembled and even though they said they were scared, they managed to successfully answer quite a few questions. When the Mandarin question was chosen "What is the radical of yellow as in, yellow colour", the audience members saw Wu Chun constantly asking nearby people, "What's a radical?" causing the audience to almost faint from laughter. Since Wu Chun is from Brunei and therefore hasn't studied Taiwan's elementary school questions, Jiro and Arron who were on stage were confident enough to bet that, "Afterwards, the losing team must go swimming when the cold stream arrives."

The two people successfully entered the $100,000 challenge encountering, "Which Chinese writer went by the name of Dragon in his works?" Jiro said "Bai Ju Yi" [a Tang dynasty poet] while Arron said "Du Fu" [also a Tang dynasty poet]. Unfortunately their answers were both wrong. Instead off stage, a fan who was also a teacher said the answer "Xin Qi Ji" [Song dynasty poet]. However the performance of the two people caused Little Swallow to say, "You don't have to apologise to the teacher!" and she ingeniously still "donged" Arron who is facing the crisis of having to quit school, saying "Arron Yan, as long as you arrive to class on time, you will be fine." This caused Arron to awkwardly smile and say, "I sort of feel like I've had my bag snatched."

The good performance by Fahrenheit's Jiro Wang and Arron Yan seemed to have passed on to the other two members Wu Chun and Calvin Chen. Especially Calvin who singlehandedly answered many questions. Even the question: "What size is the internal angle of an octagon" did not cause trouble for him. He even answered the current issues question: "The value of the coupons". Wu Chun who had not studied elementary school in Taiwan, seemed very disadvantaged. He laughed and said, "Everyone only teaches me bad things, no one teaches me general knowledge." Unexpectedly, Little Swallow asked, "Are you referring to Ella?" causing Wu Chun to quickly alter what he said, "All she teaches is me good." In the end, Fahrenheit's two groups each took home $30,000 in prize money.
Jiro Wang, Arron Yan, Wu Chun and Calvin Chen of Fahrenheit challenged TTV’s [Are You Smarter than A Primary School Student?]. The four members were split into two teams. Both teams reached the $100,000 question before losing. This caused Xiao-Yan Jie to praise them: [Pop idol group also have intelligence.]

The first promotion appearance for the new album was given to Xiao-Yan Jie’s [Are You Smarter than A Primary School Student?] First up were the team of Jiro Wang and Arron Yan who were both so nervous that they were trembling. Although they kept saying that they were scared, they were successful in answering a fair number of questions. When they chose the question in “Grammar”, [What is the dictionary radical for the Chinese character Yellow?], Wu Chun who was observing offstage even constantly asked those around him: [What is a dictionary radical?] That almost caused everyone to faint from laughing. Because Wu Chun was Bruneian and had no experience with the primary school topics in Taiwan, Jiro Wang and Arron were very confident on stage to bet that: [The losing team will go swimming in cold current.]

The two smoothly entered the $100,000 challenge level and encountered the question: [Who, among Chinese literary figures, had the nickname of the Dragon of Chinese Classical Poems?] Jiro Wang said [Po Chu-i], Arron Yan said [Tu Fu]. Unfortunately both their answers were incorrect. Instead it was a teacher sitting among the audience that gave the correct answer as [Xin Qiji]. Nevertheless, the two’s performance impressed Xiao-Yan Jie who said: [Alright, there is no need for the two of you to apologize to your teacher]. However, Xiao-Yan Jie still subtly shot this remark to Arron Yan who was facing the crisis of being requested to withdraw from college: [Arron Yan, as long as you attend classes as scheduled, you should be OK.] This caused Arron to give an embarrassed laugh and said: [I had the feeling of being caught.]

The good performances by Jiro Wang and Arron Yan seemed to have infected the other two members of Fahrenheit Wu Chun and Calvin Chen. Calvin Chen in particular, answered many questions by himself, even questions like [At what degree is the inner angle within an octagon?] could not stump him. Even the question in Current Affairs [What is the value of the consumer coupon?], he was able to answer correctly. In comparison, Wu Chun who had never studied primary school in Taiwan seemed to be at a disadvantage. Wu Chun laughed: [Everyone only taught me bad things but did not teach me these types of common knowledge.] Unexpectedly, Xiao-Yan Jie turned around and asked him: [Are you referring to Ella?] which led Wu Chun to quickly change his reply: [Everything she taught me are good.] In the end, the two teams from Fahrenheit each took home NTW $30,000 in prizes.

It may come as a surprise that Choi Ji-woo has made her first appearance in a period drama in her 14-year acting career with the role of a traditional entertainer or gisaeng. But it happened in the new, contemporary melodrama "Star's Lover." The SBS show started on Dec. 10, and Choi plays a role of top actress Lee Ma-ri.
It is, in other words, only a role within a role. The scene sets off her beauty in traditional clothes and a folding screen with ume flowers. With her hair braided up, Choi looks like a painting that has just come alive. Production staff said Choi looks as if the legendary Chosun-era gisaeng Hwang Jin-yi came back to life.

Although Choi only appears only for a few seconds in this outfit, she spent three hours in makeup and getting dressed. "It was a bit disappointing as it was such a short scene, but now one of my dreams has come true: I've made my first appearance in a period drama," Choi said.

Ken Chu (朱孝天), who is due to release his new song and compilation album in January next year, was recently photographed in Taiwan’s Yang Ming Hill shooting his new song, ‘Wrong Way’s music video. At his side was a little dog, and occasionally he would pick up the dog like a plastic bag and swing it from side to side. After inquiring, it is revealed that this dog is actually the pet of Kelly Lin, called ‘Kai Le’. Even though there are reports recently that Kelly Lin (林熙蕾) secretly met Daniel Wu (吴彦祖), which hinted at the change of relationship between her and Ken, however, though now Ken doesn’t have his girlfriend present at work, he has her dog as company. Who says the ‘Tian Lei’ relationship has problems?

For Ken, the ‘Unlucky God’ of F4, recently his career is facing its ups and downs. In October, while F4 were having their concert in Tokyo, Ken fell down the stage while rehearsing, hurting his right shoulder. Also, his record company Sony BMG originally intended him to slim down, then to release his album. Instead Ken claimed that he had an endocrine disorder and couldn’t slim down at all. The record company could only doctor his ‘fat photos’. It’s hard for him to have work, yet he has to take care of his girlfriend Kelly Lin’s dog. However it’s apparent that he has no patience with his girlfriend’s dog, often picking it up like a plastic bag and swinging it from side to side.

Face round and body swollen; carrying his stomach throughout work

On Wednesday afternoon, Ken Zhu was filming a music video for his new song ‘Wrong Way’ in Taiwan’s Yang Ming Hill. Though before he kept saying that he would slim down, that day his body still looked overstuffed. His face was still round, and his stomach was noticeably big. He followed the director’s instructions and sat on a bus, and they filmed him relaxing on a bus. The director helpfully loudly broadcasted his new song for him to mouth to. This vehicle, which is mainly to carry Ken, had to run up and down the hill for at least five times.

When lunchtime came, Ken and the workers went down the hill to a shop that sells beef noodles for lunch. After eating, he carried a black and white Boston Terrier and walked out of the shop. He strolled around while pulling the dog, waiting for the other workers. When everyone had finished eating, they all went back up to continue filming.

The dog wore a dog vest with two pockets at the side, and they were both stuffed with drinks, snacks and water. It was not expected that the vest the dog was wearing would turn into Ken’s carrier. Originally he was just pulling along the dog, with his face devoid of emotion. But during the breaks, the dog became like some kind of purchase, and he carried it and swung it side to side. The dog could only helplessly be carried. Ken did not care about how the dog was struggling, obstinately carrying the dog on his shoulders, scaring the dog till its four limbs were struggling frantically.

Later on the cast went to the hill’s Dream Lake parking lot and filmed for twenty minutes. They filmed till about 5 in the evening, which Ken boarded a van which went down the hill, and at last reached the carpark in the place where Kelly Lin lived.

While his girlfriend isn’t there, Ken became the nanny for the dog

It is understood that for the MV that Ken was filming, his company had originally intended to find a model as the female lead for it, helping Ken to generate some news. However now the economy is not well, added to the fact that the company did not give it much budget, hence two days before the shooting they abandoned the idea of having a female lead.

It was obvious that on that day of filming, Ken’s mood was bad, and he had no patience while taking care of the dog. According to previous media reports, Ken is a person who ‘loves cats’. He adopted three stray cats, which he found beside the road or outside his company. He once expressed to the media: “My advice is not to spend money to buy pets, because there are just too many stray animals outside.” He also boasted that the stray cats he fostered had grown to be very beautiful, saying that animals are kinder than humans, and that they were easy to get along and brought him lots of fun. Though he said he is an artiste that ‘loves animals’, he was extremely rough with the dog on the day of filming.

After investigation, the Boston Terrier that he was carrying on the day of filming is actually the pet of his rumoured girlfriend Kelly Lin, and it’s name is ‘Kai Le’. You can say it’s the ‘love child’ between the two of them. A year ago, after Kelly bought this little dog, but because she spends a lot of time overseas for work, she entrusted the care of it to Ken, who has no fixed work. Hence whenever Kelly is not present, Ken would take care of the dog. And under the instructions of his girlfriend, he could only obey her and be the ‘nanny’ of her dog for free.

On the day of filming the MV, Ken was afraid that the working hours would be long, hence he brought ‘Kai Le’ together with him so he could take care of him. When the director saw ‘Kai Le’, he thought she was very cute, and asked if she could conveniently be an extra. Even though his record company wanted to save money and didn’t have a female model for the shoot, the dog Ken brought along was shot into the video for free, hence the record company earned from it.

His record company expressed: “We are not clear whether the dog is reared between the two of them. However it is true that the dog ‘Kai Le’ that Ken was carrying did appear in the video!”

Andy Lau and Charlene Choi attended TVB Weekly's 2008 Strongest Popularity Brands Awards prize presentation ceremony yesterday as they were presented Strongest Popularity Commercial Heavenly King and Queen. Both of them exclaimed that commericals are not their main job. Wong Cho Lam was presented Strongest Popularity Commercial New King. The other artistes that attended the event included Kowk Chun On, Fennie Yuen, Lee Hong Kum, Lokyi Lai and the pregnant Claire Yiu.

After attending the ceremony, Andy need to rush off to catch his flight to America for a shooting of a car commercial, indeed he is commercial heavenly king as he admitted that the earning of a commercial is more than he earned from a movie and singing, because the production fee of concert world tour is high thus it won't earn much money.

Andy said that whenever he was offered a commercial, he would have a detailed understanding of the brand and the commercial content. He always loved commercials of cars and watches. Andy added: "I still have a huge space to venture into, commercial is not my main job, acting and singing are, commercial is just my side job."

Having shot so many different commercials, Andy exclaimed that he would like to shoot beauty commercial as he would able to get free facial. He's scared of commercial that would require him to bare his chest to show off his figure thus he had rejected several body building and weight management commercials. He said: "I always have reservations of weight management medicine, these medicine will have side effects on human, it normally take 10 years of testings. Another is body building, because such commercial would require me to take off my clothes to show off my muscles, although I don;t wear so much during my concerts but asking me to stand there to take photographs, I will have a strange feeling, I can't do this."

The organizer sing praise of Andy ability to be the spokesman for a product for so many years, he's being tagged as a long loving commercial artiste. He quipped: "Few artiste will be like me to be so long loving, currently I've six commericals that I've collaborated with them for a long time, there will be new commercial every year. The Mainland China shampoo and car commercial to be shot in America are new."

Andy also pointed out that commercial companies are steady thus they are not affected by the financial tsunami. On the other side, he's not sure if he's the artiste that earned the most money, he will take it the same way as shooting movie, to win you must have "tight schedule" and "many". Having accepting so many commercials recently, he would accumulate an impressive 8-figure earning. He said: "Actually being an artiste, we are always doing commercial of ourselves."

Andy will go to America for 7 days of location shooting for a commerical directed by Andrew Lau, when asked if his fees are heavenly price, Andy quipped: "Nope, of course I will be paid more for staying in America for 7 days, this is normal. (Winning the Commercial Heavenly King award would make you happier when compared to winning the Best Male Singer?) Nope, I'm happy when winning any award."

Andy revealed that he will be location shooting in Beijing thus he will be absent for the year end music awards ceremonies, he deny that he had started not to treat awards so importantly, he said: "It's the same attitude, due to work I'll not be in Hong Kong, if you're absent in Hong Kong music awards ceremonies, there will be no awards for you, thus it become a worry, I don't even attend the seasonal selections, thus my songs are not nominated, if I can win the Most Popular Male Singer award without any songs nominated, I'll also feel bad, anyway I'm sad to say that I could not attend any ceremony due to filming commitments. (So now you're looking forward to money or awards?) Nope, it will be good if I have awards without attending, but I would not be so calculative as in I'll be winning how many awards before deciding whether to attend the ceremony, I'll still join in for the occasion."
