"Fit Lover" set to screen in China

A new romantic film "Fit Lover" hits the big screen November 28th. The movie ushers in the "New Year" season for Chinese cinema.

"Fit Lover" recounts the love stories between one woman and twelve men. The heroine, played by Karen Lam, is an attractive professional. She has twelve suitors who come from all walks of life. The top male stars of the Chinese mainland joined the cast: Deng Chao, Fan Wei, Huang Lei, Huang Xiaoming, Lu Yi and Tong Dawei.

The movie is intended to explore a new frontier for romantic comedies.

Nakai, Nakama back together at Kohaku

This year's Kohaku Uta Gassen will be hosted by two familiar faces: Masahiro Nakai of SMAP and actress Yukie Nakama. This will be Nakai's fifth (and third consecutive) time as host, and for Nakama it will be her third. Both served as hosts together in 2006.

NHK has not yet made a formal announcement, but newspapers are already reporting that the decision has been made. The official news from the network is expected to be released this week.

Nakai and Nakama have also recently been working together for the film "Watashi wa Kai ni Naritai," in which they play a married couple. The movie opens on November 22.

Maggie Cheung Rues No Cooperation with Pitt

Hong Kong actress Maggie Cheung will star in Quentin Tarantino's World War II film "Inglourious Bastards," the actress has said.

Cheung, 44, who has settled down in Beijing with her German architect boyfriend Ole Scheeren, went back to Hong Kong over the weekend to promote a brand she endorses, Star Daily reported.

The Cannes best actress told the newspaper she would only appear in a couple of scenes. However, the role would be challenging because she has to speak French.

Written and directed by the Oscar-winning Tarantino, the film will be led by Brad Pitt as the leader of eight Jewish-American soldiers. Cheung will play a French woman who owns a cinema in Paris.

"My character is very interesting," Cheung was quoted as saying, "But it's a pity I wouldn't be able to star in a scene together with Brad Pitt."

The film is set for release at next year's Cannes Film Festival in May.

Kim Dong Wan Enlisted Today

Kim Dong Wan was enlisted at the Chungcheongnam-do training camp this afternoon. He is the second Shinhwa member to be enlisted after Eric.

Just like Eric, Kim Dong Wan will also serve his miltary duty as a civil servant. He will be receiving 4 weeks of basic military training before being transferred to the Seodaemun-gu Government Office where he will serve as a public service officer. Kim Dong Wan released a mini-album Promise for his fans before his enlistment and promised to reunite with them 2 years later.

Shin Hyun Joon Gets Cameo Role in Star’s Lover Upon Choi Ji Woo’s Invite

Shin Hyun Joon will make a cameo appearance in SBS Star’s Lover, playing the son of a departmental store tycoon that tries to woo Choi Ji Woo’s character.

Shin Hyun Joon’s cameo Star’s Lover was made possible upon the invitation of Choi Ji Woo with whom he has acted with in Stairway to Heaven a couple of years back. In the drama, Shin Hyun Joon’s character books the whole department store for Lee Ma Ri (Choi Ji Woo) in order to woo her.

But Lee Ma Ri ignores him and he is later chased out of his family by his tycoon father for affecting the business. He is basically playing a “tragic” role again but without dying. Although the scenes amounted to only a few minutes, it took him the whole day to film the scenes on the 15th that saw him travel between Incheon International Airport and the departmental store.

Choi Ji Woo felt really apologetic to Shin Hyun Joon for taking up his time for the day and expressed she will find a opportunity to thank him for this efforts. Star’s Lover will debut on SBS after Painter of the Wind finishes.

Super Junior's Third Album Come Back in 2009

Questions have been hovering for quite sometime now will soon be laid to rest hopefully. Will Super Junior release their third album early next year?

ELF predict a huge comeback blast of Super Junior early next year which will surely jolt us of passivity.

In a recent Super Junior Day, Lee Teuk said "We won't settle for a safe answer but we will work some more for the third album." Some fans asked the boys to give them an idea of what sort of album would it be like. Lee Teuk hesitates to reply but eventually gives in "Oh it's going to be Global Su Ju." (laughs). "I think it's being realistic because all of us are on a subgroup around Asia and we also have been participating in US activities like Hollywood Bowl."

Describing it as a collaborative work, Lee Teuk will miss browsing through his personal blog on Cyworld and checking the often messages in his inbox. "I have been receiving messages about our third album." he says.

The countdown begins. The final month of this year 2008 may well be ELF's last few moments to long for the 13 members together and cheer up on the coming year.

The workaholic boys of Super Junior find themselves caught between a subgroup schedules and making their third album which for them is more challenging as they are getting more inspired by the number of fans waiting for them.

"Lost, Indulgence" Released in Theaters in Asia

Lost, Indulgence (秘岸), previously titled 迷果 and 少年, was released in theaters in Hong Kong on October 2, 2008 and to be released in Mainland China November 14, 2008. Directed by Zhang Yibai and with appearances by Eric Tsang and Eason Chan, the story centers around Karen Mok and her seduction of a minor. Due to Karen's suggestive role, they were required to cut scenes and the released date has been delayed until November 14, 2008.

HK Heavenly Kings come to Taiwan for concert, good ticket sales

The tickets sales for concerts in Taiwan in the second half of 2008 had been bad which resulted in several singers canceling their concerts, but Aaron Kowk and Andy Lau's ticket sales had been doing well. Returning to the warmth of his Taiwanese fans, heavenly king Andy had been busy rehearsing his dance and song as he hope to give his best performance to his Taiwanese fans, TVBS gives you a sneak preview.

Even being shy as he need to have close contact with female dancer, Andy still do it as a warm up for his Taiwan concert! Indeed he's a heavenly king as a moment he was have a hot dance number with the female dancer, the next second his dance partners exchanged to Andox and Blackie, from the footage of the rehearsal, it do seems that Andy is refreshed.

Prior to the concert, Andy came to Taiwan for a (non full-dressed) rehearsal, because he wants to give his best to the fans. With the poor concert tickets sales at the end of the year, the Hong Kong stars are making a breakthrough.

The 2 Hong Kong heavenly kings come to Taiwan for their concerts at almost the same time, Andy's concert is already sold out whereas 70-80% of Aaron concert has been sold. In comparison to those low attendance of the Taiwanese singers, some even canceled their concert, the heavenly kings performance is worth 100 marks, no wonder it doesn't matter even they sweat all out during rehearsal.

Kam Je is not hasty, want to work hard first

Lee Heung Kam attended an event of paying respect to elderly. She took picture with an elderly who is 103 years old. In the previous night, Kam Je sat the whole night in the TVB Anniversary but did not get any award, she said: "I'm not disappointed. Let the young ones have it. I just returned to TVB, how will they give so many good things to me, I have to work hard first. But Tavia Yeung is a really good girl, she really knows what to do, asking everyone to give me applauses. (You feel much better afterwards?) I don't feel bad. I don't seek for fame or fortune, do not hope for big breakthrough. (Liza Wang seems to be angry?) She is not angry, she knows what's going on."

Kay Tse's lung shrunk by 80%, left hospital 2 days early

Earlier due to a lung burst, Kay Tse was admitted into the hospital for surgery and was discharged two days earlier trying to get back to work. Yesterday to "widen the variation to thank the Office of KAY Live" DVD signing was held, and over 500 supportive fans cheered for her. "I'm weak, I don't want to sneeze." Since her body hasn't recovered yet she admitted that she was trying to return to work a little faster but her husband and passbyers told her to go home.

Kay had a lung problem as a result of leakage over the years, so she has a lot of physical problems, "I have been left flat, the air did not take place, the pressure filled the heart, so it caused heart pain, and my heart rate was faster than normal. Because of the heart pain it it was necessary to breath better for the tilt of the spine. The most serious part of it was that, as a result of the lungs trying to reduce leakage, it shrunk 80%." She was admitted to the minimally invasive surgery due to the damage to the lung tissues. Kay said, "the doctor will be known as the 'big science' organization to me, black and brown, like a dinosaur."

After the surgery, Kay had 3 wounds and is scheduled for follow-up appointments. In these appointments she will be doing phyiscal therapy in order for her lungs to expand. She is expecting to sing again in another half a year, but the doctor encouraged her to sing at an earlier date in order to exercise the lungs.
