"One Million Star" organises reunion; Sends off Tao Jing Ying for maternity leave; Aska Yang and Yoga Lin absent

On the 26th, Tao Zi will be recording the last episode before her pregnancy leave for CTV's "One Million Star". Judge Yuan Wei Ren returns after leaving and the production crew is reuniting the 1st, 2nd and 3rd graduation class of the show to sing together and send her off. Each batch is not only fighting through singing abilities but also the attendance list. The 2nd batch is actively participating but the 3rd batch will be missing the king of popularity Hayden Huang Jing Lun who is recording his new album. The winner of the first batch Yoga Lin will be absent due to overseas promotion and popularity king Aska Yang might not show up due to contract issues and hence, they will have the lowest turnout.

1st batch- Three male represents
Tao Zi is leaving to prepare for giving birth and the production crew arranged for the 4 batch of singers to reunite and have a farewell party. The 1st batch that built up the "One Million Star" popularity together with Tao Zi however, is finalised to only have Judy Chou Ding Wei, Stanley Hsu Ren Jie and Peter Pan Yi Wen turning up. Winner Yoga Lin will be in Singapore for their Singapore Hit Awards ceremony and thus will not be showing up. As for Aska Yang, due to his contract problems, his current entertainment industry work has all been put on hold and production manager Wang Zhong Wei is currently in the midst of trying to work things out. His music company however has expressed that this is not the promotion period and hence, they will not consider. "Our contract still has 1 year to go. He needs our agreement to go on shows and although he goes along with all the schedule we planned out, he is adament on communicating through the lawyer so it will be a troublesome process."

3rd batch - Top 5 shows up
The 3rd batch with Xu Jia Jing leading will have all the top 5 showing up but the most anticipated singer, popularity king Hayden Huang will be in Beijing and thus absent. Hit FM 22 released his first main song "Moonlight [Yue Guang]" from his new album yesterday and it has already sparked discussion among fans. Hayden joined Warner and will be releasing his album before winner Xu Jia Jing. The originally scheduled to release album next year's Xu Jia Jing has postponed her plans due to throat problems.

2nd batch - Supportive
2nd batch's winner Yuming Lai, popularity queen Jane Huang, Rachel Liang, Uni Yie, Annie Lin and Pets Ceng will all show up, giving enough face to "One Million Star"

With the graduating class from season 1, 2, 3 all returning home, Yuan Wei Ren was persuaded by Wang Wei Zhong to return to the judging group too and continue to act as the black-faced man.

Andy Lau favorite to be first to held concert in Bird Nest

The anticipated Beijing Olympic Games had successfully ended on 24 August, as people around the world slowly cooled down on the Olympic fever, there's another fever boiling up at the National Stadium a.k.a the Bird Nest. It's because many superstar are looking forward to become the first singer to stage a concert in the Bird Nest.

Earlier there was reports that Japan's X-Japan hope to be the first to perform in the Bird Nest, but the authorities would like a Chinese to be the first, among the favorites are Faye Wong, Jacky Cheung, Jay Chou, Andy Lau and others. Andy whom is popular in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan has become the top favorite. If he's willing, he will surely become the first to stage concert in the Bird Nest.

According to sources, Andy seems interested to become the first to stage a concert at the Bird Nest, not only for the name and status, it would also help in Mainland China developments. If the rent is going to be lowered, I believed there will not be much loss. If the concert is successfully held, Andy's name will 10 times known around the world, if he's willing collaborate, he will get to hold his concerts in Mainland China, he will earn even more. It seems that after performing in the Olympic Games closing ceremony, he has a high chance of becoming the first to perform in the Bird Nest.

Louis Koo Celebrated His Birthday With Fans

Last night (10/19), Louis’ family and friends along with many fans took part in the Koo’s Party '08 to celebrate Louis’ Birthday. This private party was held at Tolo Paradise in Hong Kong and sponsored by Pepsi.

Louis had lots of fun with his fans in this BBQ party. They had many entertaining games; one of them was the karaoke singing contest in which Louis was the judge. Two lucky fans from each of three different groups ‘Hong Kong’, ‘China’ and ‘Oversea’ competed for the award. At time, giving in to fans’ requests, Louis sung two of his songs and these enthusiastic fans happily sang along. Louis got many gifts from his fans and cut a beautiful birthday cake. The atmosphere at the scene was very warm and friendly.

Perfume DVD outsells Koda, Amuro

Electropop trio Perfume are keeping up their chart-topping streak with their new DVD, "Perfume First Tour: GAME." After achieving their first #1 album in April and their first #1 single in July, they have managed to also take #1 this week on the overall DVD charts.

The release sold about 65,000 copies, setting this year's record for first-week DVD sales among female artists. This surpasses both Kumi Koda and Namie Amuro, who each achieved 60,000 earlier this year.

Kangin and Heechul have a new show on Mnet

Mnet's Love Fighter, hosted by Super Junior Leeteuk has recently ended but Super Junior fans should not worry because Kangin and Heechul will be appearing in a brand new show for Mnet.

Band of Brothers, also co-staring the Trax Member Xmas and Typhoon, will be aring on October 25th at 11 pm.

It has been years since The Trax has been active in Korea, and this show will help mark their comeback.

The Wonder Girls make Kim Gun Mo sad

On an episode of MBC's Cheerful Hero (명랑히어로) which aired on the 18th, the Wonder Girls made one of Korea's greatest musicians (Kim Gun Mo), extremely sad.

The girls were presented with the question, "Who do you think is more of a musical genius, Park Jin Young or Kim Gun Mo?" After a little bit of hesitation, the girls answered "Park Jin Young."

Kim Gun Mo quickly retaliated by stating, "I like Girls' Generation better," filling the studio with laughter.

"Innocent Love" falls short of expectations

Viewership data for the premiere episode of Fuji TV's "Innocent Love" has been released, and the network is surely disappointed with the results. The show managed only a 16.9% rating, despite starring the popular Maki Horikita.

This is the first time since last year that Fuji TV's Monday 9:00pm time slot has not had an opener above 20%. This breaks the streak that started with "Galileo" and continued with "Bara no Nai Hanaya," "CHANGE," and "Taiyou to Umi no Kyoushitsu." Before those four shows, "Proposal Daisakusen" and "First Kiss" both debuted at over 19%.

aTV's Chief Executive Officer - Louis Page has announced resignation

There was a change in personnels again in aTV (Asia Television Limited) as Mr Louis Page,whom have joined aTV last year as a Chief Executive Officer has tendered his resignation. The new Chief Executive will be Mr Ho Ting Kwan,the former Operating Executive.

Louis Page was a key person for TVB in the past,the right and left hand for Sir Run Run Shaw. He was also once a former Managing Director for TVB. During year 2006 Louis Page left TVB,and joined aTV after becoming a major shareholder of aTV,and then became aTV's CEO. During that time,rumours said that Louis Page had persuaded Ho Ting Kwan and other TVB high executives to join aTV and build up a strong company. Its unexpected that,now Louis Page had given the reason that he has resigned because he wanted to develop his other business outside.

Michelle Reis has earlier accepted an interview with "Orange"- A magazine company in Hong Kong. During the interview,Michelle Reis said she had entered the entertainment industry after being crowed the winner of Miss Hong Kong when she was 18 years old,which is 20 years ago. She felt that she was a lucky person. As she was also crowed the "Miss Photogenic" at that time,Michelle Reis expressed confidence that she could continue her beauty,Michelle has also revealed that she has been influenced by her boyfriend , Mr Hui Chun Hang (A Business Tycoon) and she has the thoughts of getting married.

Wanted to marry while going for a vacation

Currently Aged 38,there were many rumours were around saying that Michelle Reis would be "marrying into a rich family" by this year. During the interview,Michelle had honestly shared her opinion on this marriage "In the past,i have not thought of marrying as i have always thought that as long as both of our feelings and love are good,we need'nt a piece of marriage certificate. However,i have already been dating for 2 years with my boyfriend. He had used time to slowly change my opinion on marriage,now i felt that its time for me to reconsider,and i am still in the process of accepting this marriage. Speaking about the wedding,i feel that having the ceremony held outside Hong Kong suits me as i want to keep the occasion low profile."

Michelle Reis further revealed that she is a open-minded lady,as she often has her own ideas and will always share and debate her opinions and ideas with her boyfriend. However,she explained that she is not "Sassy."

TVB Drama - Last One Standing Received 20 Complaints

TVB's (Last One Standing) has broadcasted its final 2 episodes during last Saturday. The finale has hit an average rating point of 31 (1.95 million audiences) , and the rating points reached 34 at the peak (2.14 million audiences). During its final week of broadcast during the weekdays,the rating points were also 31,a 3 point rise compared to the past weeks. These good results however,was inperfect as the Hong Kong Broadcasting Authority has received 20 complaints regarding this show. The main complaints are about the excessive violence and blood in this drama.

Tong Lap Yin (Roger Kwok) is still revengeful

During the last few minutes,there was a scene of Roger Kwok sleeping in his bed at prison but suddenly awakes with revengeful feelings. This scene had made audience feel that the storyline hasnt ended and has been discussing if there is a continuation of the drama next year.

Response from TVB

The Producer for this series,Wong Sum Wai has responded that the ending of a revengeful Tong Lap Yin is to tell the audience that his attititude has not changed,even he was in jail. He was evil from the beginning to the end. In the last moments of the show,Tong Lap Yin misunderstood his ex girlfriend Carmen (Yoyo Meng) has been dating Cheung Seng Hei (Kevin Cheng),thus he became revengeful and was very angry that he awaked suddenly while he was sleeping.

Last One Standing II?!

Asked if there is a continuation of the drama,the producer replied that although a continuation of "Last One Standing II" has not been planned,there will also be a possibility that there is a continuation as the storyline still has spaces of development.

Male Leads Praised

Wong Sun Wai (the producer) has claimed that she has expected such rating points. Some audiences liked the show, but some do not as they claimed it was too gore. Despite this,Wong has praised the 2 male leads,Kevin Cheng's acting skills,and Roger Kwok's ability to act evil roles. Asked if Kevin Cheng has a chance of using his role in this series to win the "TV King" award? Wong daren't answer,just saying that his results are satisfactory and he has a breakthrough in his acting.

Roger Kwok does not mind there is no Gold in this year's trophy

This year, 3D GOLD whom has always sponsered TVB's trophy has withdrawn due to its bankruptcy. The GOLD trophy that 3D GOLD sponsered will be replaced by other materials. Asked if Roger Kwok would mind,he said "Every year,the Trophy costs more than $10,000. It has the meaning of prestige and sublime. This year,the trophy might be made of other materials,i hope the colleagues won't mind. I won't mind too,because i think the trophy would be very creative and special as its made of other materials."
