Yoon Kye-sang is trying his hand at another skill: photography. He follows in the footsteps of fellow shutterbug stars like Bae Doo-na, So Ji-sub, and Park Ji-yoon by publishing his own photographs.

Yoon’s project, however, is a part of a larger enterprise — an “It Travel” project comprising travel journals and pictures. At the end of the month, he heads to Turkey and will contribute his personally shot photographs to a travel book chronicling the sights and attractions of cities like Istanbul, Kapadokia, and Antalya. He will take his photos under the dual themes of “exploring the city’s back streets” and “nature and repose.”

A group of photographer bloggers will also be making the trip with Yoon, and have been invited to show off their own photography skills by publishing their accounts and pictures following the trip. (They’ll work under different themes, focusing on Turkey’s history, cafes, and restaurants.)

Yoon Kye-sang has always expressed an interest in photography, but in preparation for this opportunity, he’s delved into his hobby with greater depth, spending the past six months studying and brushing up his skills.

Pre-debut pics of stars are the perfect combination of embarrassing and hilarious.

This one candidly captures DBSK’s macho male Yunho U-Know in his boxers alongside his Super Junior counterparts Yesung and Heechul back during their trainee days. All three look like they’re enjoying this Hallmark-worthy male bonding moment.

Check out this recent video clip of Heechul dancing the Wondergirls‘ “Nobody” dance. We all knew it was only a matter of time before he learned those steps. With those moves, he should really consider being a permanent member of the Wondergirls.

Hallyu star Bae Yong-jun has been announced as the recipient of the ceremonial Culture Medal. Upon hearing the news, the actor responded, “I will try to live up to the honor by working harder.”

In an interview with Yonhap News, he said winning the award was a “great responsibility” bestowed upon him and–though he felt he was lacking in many ways–he would “work harder to introduce more of Korea’s culture to the world.”

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism had recommended Bae for the Culture Medal due to his part in bringing Korean popular culture to the world through the TV drama, “Winter Sonata.”

The Culture Medal is a government award given to figures who have made a cultural impact through various fields. Lee Young-ae won a Culture Medal in 2007 for her influence on the Hallyu phenomenon with the drama “Daejanggeum.”
