Shin Seung Hoon returns with a bang!

Move over overrated and talentless idol groups. Finally, a singer with real talent is coming back to save K-pop from destruction.

Korea’s longest running ballad singer, Shin Seung Hoon’s (41) return looks promising as pre-orders from his project album titled “Unexpected Twist” rank number one on major online sites. In addition, positive buzz after his teaser clip release confirms that Shin Seung Hoon’s comeback will be successful.

The first of Shin Seung Hoon’s three part project album “Radio Wave” will drop in stores on October 7th.

While you are waiting, check out Shin Seung Hoon’s new beats. The singer left his ballad comfort zone and experimented with modern rock, which resulted in some fresh beats.

Evangelion 2.0 Film Set for Early Summer of 2009

The official Japanese website for the theatrical Neon Genesis Evangelion anime remake has re-launched — thus confirming the tentative release window and English title of the second movie in the project. Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance will open in Japan in early summer of 2009. The first movie, Evangelion: 1.0 You Are [Not] Alone, opened in September 2007, earned over 2 billion yen (about US$20 million), and sold over 600,000 copies on DVD.

The website promises that the second movie will feature the fan-favorite character Asuka, the EVA-02 unit, "new Evangelions," "added items previously unknown to anyone," "a shocking new story, and new visuals."

Song Hye Kyo Promotes Her Debut Hollywood Movie

On October 5th 5pm, Korean star Song Hye Kyo attended the press conference of her first ever Hollywood film, “Make Yourself at Home“, held at the Pusan International Film Festival. Apart from the 3 leads of the movie, veteran actor Ahm Sung Gi and Kang Soo Yeon were also present to support this independent film.

Song Hye Kyo’s debut Hollywood film “Make Yourself at Home”, also known as “Fetish”, was first revealed at the 13th Pusan International Film Festival. US actress Athena Curry and actor Arno Frisch were there for promotion as well.

“Make Yourself at Home” is a joint-collaboration between South Korea and U.S. It talks about a soon-to-turn-witch woman who moves to America and even marries an American in order to escape her destiny to become a witch. However, she did not manage to escape her fate but instead begins a battle with christian devotees. Song Hye Kyo plays as the cold-blooded witch So Hee.

Vicki's months of cold misery

Chinese actress Vicki Zhao had a miserable, really miserable, winter in China late last year.

The usually vivacious Zhao had been cast in the Hong Kong fantasy action film Painted Skin, which opened in Singapore last Friday.

She stars as Peirong, the despairing wife of a general (Chen Kun) bewitched by a demonic temptress (Zhou Xun).

And it seemed that Zhao had to live her lonely character's life offscreen too as she was ignored by director Gordon Chan and his team after hours.

'They didn't comfort me. They didn't joke with me. I felt left out. They left me in this state,' the 32-year-old said on the telephone from Beijing. 'I was uncomfortable and terrified during the two months I was filming.'

As the cast and crew filmed in the desert in the northern region of Ningxia and in the Hengdian studio in the eastern province of Zhejiang, she felt like an outcast both on- and off-camera.

Her family had to fly in to keep her company.

Only later did she realise that the team had cold-shouldered her to help her get in character.

Rain’s album cover released

Rain's comeback is nearing. The cover of his 5th Korean Album was released earlier today and so far his official Fan Club the Clouds are hyped up with anticipation.

The album entitled "Rainism" is said to be a mix between Rain's inner emotions including Anger and hidden secrets he has stored inside throughout the years.

Rain will officially return to Korea with a private showcase on October at the MBC Dreamcenter at Ilsan.

Rain’s MBC special will air on October 10th and his comeback stage will also be featured on MBC the following week on October 17th.

Lee Sungjin showed off this relationship with top stars such as Kim Tahee and Kim Jungeun.

In the latest recording of ‘Happy Together Season 3 - Challenge Song’ after 2 years NRG’s Lee Sungjin has made a comeback into stardom.

On the set that day, Lee Sungjin talked a lot about the 2 years he was away and expose some unbelievable connections.

He said “I will disclose the relationships I have.” Then pulled out a paper that had picture of him with Jang Donggun, Kim Jungeun, Kim Taehee, Kim Ahjoong and even singer Rain.

Lee Sungjin revealed that “Before I debuted, in order to see pretty noonas, I attended acting school. The noona that I met there was Kim Jungeun” Their relationship was so close that he would ditch acting class with Kim Jungeun sshi and hang out elsewhere.”

After Lee Sungjin say “I’m very close with Kim Taehee who debuted as the role of my girlfriend”
“When I met her at the airport, I gave her a hug and the people surrounding us were so shocked.”

Seeya also revives ‘복고(Bokko)’, Roller Skating Rink’s Lively Beauties

Vocal Group Seeya is attempting to be ‘복고 (Bokko) Sexy’.

On the 3rd on KBS ‘Music Bank’ and on the 4th on MBC ‘Show! Music Core’, they performed their comeback stages. During their performance, Seeya acted lively and sexy in their cute mini skirts, in their 1970 Roller Rink theme.

The title song of their 3rd album ‘Brilliant Change’ is ‘Hot Girl’ which is a light electro house beat in addition with their womanly voices. Seeya, who established a medium tempo image, threw that away to transform into a cute and light girl group.

Following suit, Seeya is promoting this image with releasing a preview of their music video. Director Cha Euntek who made Lee Hyori’s ‘유 고 걸’(U-Go-Girl) was put in charge of producing the ‘Hot Girl’ music video. They say that it portrays a new popping charming side of Seeya.

‘Sharing Angel’ Suh Shinae Famine Concert Opening Performance

Child star Suh Shinae has become a sharing angel to help all the suffering hungry children in the world.

During the ‘One Meal’ opening, Shinae went on stage and started off the ‘Famine 24′ by reading aloud a letter that spoke of all the children around the world that are in poverty or fighting some unknown disease.

Last September, Shinae sent out a message about her friends pains and requested that they give them a lot of love. At that moment, she burst into tear and as she started crying, she read the letter in a tearful tone that filled the audience to almost choke from grief.

Even after the recording was finished, she just couldn’t leave and instead she conveyed her warm feelings for those poor starving children who were around her age.

‘Sharing Angel’ Suh Shinae alongside with Kim Gunmo, Solbi, SG Wannabe, Sonyuh Shidae, Hwangbo, Davichi, Yoonha, F.T. Island, Brown Eyed Girls, Super Junior Happy and many other stars will be participating in SBS Famine 24 Concert ‘One Meal’ will be broadcast on the 3rd in the afternoon at 1:10.

DBSK’s singing gets only 80 points?

‘Tiny Pianist’ Yoo Yeeun and Dong Bang ShinKi have gotten together on stage.

On the night broadcast SBS’s Kim Jungeun’s Chocolate on the 10th, Blind pianist Yoo Yeeun played ‘You Raise me Up’ while Dong Bang Shin Ki, who returned with their 4th album ‘주문-미로틱(MIROTIC)’ in a year and 7 months, accompanied her with their beautiful voices.

In case you don’t know who Yoo Yeeun is, she made an apperance on an episode of ‘Star King’ last year because of the fact that she couldn’t see. She got recognized as a piano prodigy and the members of Super Junior Trot were so touched that they surprised her with a piano as a gift.

Super Junior Happy, which consists of Eeteuk, Kangin, Yesung, Shindong, Sungmin, and Eunhyuk were also invited as special guests.

After their performance the host, Kim Jungeun sang ‘Na Hangsang Geudaerul’ while Yeeun played.

Yoo Yeeun created a lot of laughter amongst the guests by saying that Dong Bang Shinki’s singing was 80 points while Kim Jungeun’s was 110 points.

Sexy female singer Kilgun will launch her ‘NYStyle’ shopping mall.

Kilgun, who is known for being ‘Lee Hyori’s choreography teacher’ and her flexible body, is currently gaining peoples attention because of her plans to launch a NY Style clothing shopping mall.

Kilgun launched her latest shopping mall ‘KILGUN’ through online and in Dongdaemun in Seoul in the 유어스(Yoo Us) department store, she vigorously started her own clothing business.

Kilgun who will display the current famous New York style, which is young and sophisticated fashion, says that her dream is to be able to make a clothing brand like ‘ZARA’.

In other news, the director of Kilgun’s company said in a interview with Review Star ” We are going to hold a surprise event in the beginning of October before the fashion shopping mall opens. We request that all of Kilgun’s fans show their love and support”.

Kilgun, who was known as a star who was advised to take care of her image, is working on her lively music image alongside with the ‘Clothing Shopping mall Launch’, which she hopes will be very successful.
