Jolin Tsai YiLin had a "disastrous" meeting with foreign (Canadian) entertainer Daniel Powter during the ceremony for the 19th Golden Melody Awards. The sudden kiss he planted on her cheek shocked her; the expression on her face made her appear alarmed. She said honestly that she had no idea of the kiss before it happened: "I guess we can say that foreigners are more enthusiastic!" Daniel Powter expressed-- with the help of some staff members-- that the kiss was his own "last minute" idea and that it was mostly for "effect." After leaving the stage, he immediately explained himself to Jolin.

Daniel's impulsive kiss excited the fans in the audience, who yelled in response; Jolin's reaction was to first shut her eyes in shock, then to open them wide again with one hand touching her cheek and the other in front of her chest-- very correct!

Namie Amuro's (30) Vidal Sassoon CM goes on air on 12th July. The song used in the CM, "Do Me More", as well as her other songs from as far as 6 years back will be featured in a best album "BEST FICTION", which goes on sale on the 30th.

Lee Hyori releases 3 teaser pictures from her new album, “It’s Hyorish”. The images play off her sexy-cute image to a tee. Girl looks fabulous in the pink bikini with the white bikini, headphones with the worn jeans.

And different from the usual CD package, Hyori’s 3rd album will contain both a CD and LP.

In addition, over 60 pictures of the popdiva, taken in Hawaii, are included in the package. This is Lee Hyori’s 3rd album in 2 years. Also featured is a duet with vertically challenged singer, Kim Gun-mo.

Despite that the stage was wet and slippery, Yumiko Cheng performed a dance and sang fast songs. Yumiko said that she almost tripped and fell while dancing when she was doing her rehearsals, however she was more confident and could do more difficult actions on stage when the rain had stopped.

Singer Lee-ra (real name: Uhm Lee-ra) was found dead in her apartment that she shared with a friend in Nonhyun-dong, Seoul on July 6th 2008. The 25 year old released her first album, “1st Album The Story Of 12 L.O.V.E’ in April 2007.

No word yet on the cause of death. Funeral service is being held at Samsung Medical Center.

Actor Jericho Rosales said he already moved on from his past relationship with actress Heart Evangelista.

Rosales said that he does not care if reports are true that Evangelista was seen with ABS-CBN's newest contract star, international performer Billy Crawford.

The actor also known as Echo was caught by surprise when Evangelista ended their affair publicly while he was outside the country.

Reports said that Evangelista broke up with him after their three-year relationship because of his rumored affairs with his leading ladies -- American actress Brianna Evigan in "I Luv U Virus" and Malaysian star Carmen Soo, his co-star in a joint Filipino-Malaysian soap opera.

In a previous interview, Rosales denied the rumors and said that Evangelista was influenced by false accusations.

"I know where all this is coming from. It’s all because of the things being told to her, the lies," Rosales had said.

Rosales started his career at the age of 7. He was a member of Star Circle batch 4 and was known for his outstanding performance on the television series "Pangako Sa 'Yo" with actress Kristine Hermosa.

MC Mong has come under fire for actually smoking during a program recording. MC Mong who is a permanent host on KBS Happy Sunday “1N2D” variety show was seen smoking during the 6th July episode which was shown in it’s entirety without cuts. This has left his fans feeling really disappointed.

MC Mong had previously said on “1N2D” that he would stop himself from smoking. But this time, he was not smoking outdoors but inside their mini bus which has made fans of MC Mong feeling really disappointed with his actions.

Following the program broadcast, many viewers flooded the official website and left messages, saying that they were mightily disappointed with MC Mong for not keeping his promise and also rebuking the producers of “1N2D” for not taking the appropriate measures in editing this away instead of showing it.

Viewers felt that this smoking scene would have an undesirable effect on underaged children and viewers and MC Mong was a bad role model. Besides, he was smoking in an enclosed area inside the mini bus which would definitely mean that the other members of “1N2D” were taking in second-hand smoke.

Koni states that when she was a child she didn't have the opportunity to compete in any competitions. But she did join the choir and she still likes to sing, however only children songs. She says "I sing McDull ?? very well because I have a chicken voice." Koni also states that she has her eyes set on a particular property and hopes to be able to buy it in the future. After ending a month-long rift with her sister actress Ara Mina, ABS-CBN's newest contract star actress Cristine Reyes is now facing a new controversy.

Reports say that the actress is banned from doing interviews particularly in the Kapamilya network's weekly entertainment shows "The Buzz" and "Entertainment Live."

In an interview with abs-cbnNEWS.com, "The Buzz" executive producer Nancy Yabut denied these reports.

"Hindi totoo 'yong balita na yon. Walang ganoong ban," Yabut told the news site.

Abs-cbnNEWS.com also got the side of Lani Gutierrez, the executive producer of Entertainment Live. She also denied the report.

"Hindi totoo ang isyu na 'yon, actually wala akong idea na lumalabas ang isyu na 'yon. Hindi totoo na bina-ban namin si Cristine," said Gutierrez.

The issue on the ban stemmed from reports saying that Reyes cried and was offended by an ambush interview made by the network's entertainment staff last Saturday, July 5th in Makati.

Reyes was seen watching the "URCC 12 Supremacy" with her rumored boyfriend, award-winning actor Dennis Trillo.

The video of their so-called 'date' was aired Sunday, July 6th on "The Buzz."

Martial-arts superstar Jet Li considers the healthy balance between exercises for one's body and mind an important contribution to his success, and now he is helping others to find that balance.

At a press conference on Sunday in Shanghai, Li introduced a new system of exercise he calls "Wuji," which blends martial-arts moves with yoga positions, Sina.com.cn reports.

Li and some other fitness professionals demonstrated the exercise with several hundred bodybuilders on site. He believes that Wuji can help long-term practitioners reach tiptop conditions both physically and mentally.

With joint creation by Jet Li and sportswear brand Adidas, Wuji also inaugurated a three-year-long cooperation between the two to promote new fitness concepts among urban Chinese, Sina.com.cn says.
