BoA's hit song "Valenti" will be featured in a Japanese musical.

Japan's leading entertainment company Avex said it will begin producing a musical entitled "Pieces of the Heart" to celebrate its 20th founding anniversary.

The musical, which will be staged at the Aoyama Theater in Tokyo from September 15 to 29, revolves around a heartbroken heroine who isolates herself from the meaningless relationships of today's modern society and takes off on a futuristic journey that centers around a mysterious object called "Pieces of the Heart."

The musical will feature 21 songs that have been carefully selected by Avex. They include hit songs performed by Avex artists over the past 20 years. It is the first Japanese musical to feature only the hit songs of artists from a single entertainment company.

The songs include past hits by Namie Amuro, Ayumi Hamasaki, Kumi Koda, Exile, Ami Otsuda and Ami Suzuki.

Avex also selected "Valenti" from BoA's second studio album, which sold 1.5 million copies in 2003.

Throughout the performance period, Avex plans to exhibit costumes, accessories and trophies of Avex artists.

For fellow member Leeteuk's birthday, Super Junior's Eunhyuk writes a song for Leeteuk as a gift, "Birthday Celebration Song".

On July 1's broadcast of Super Junior's Kiss the Radio, Eunhyuk said, "I've prepared this for Leeteuk's birthday." He suddenly sang live to "Birthday Celebration Song". The staff members thought that this was just a simple birthday celebration song, but after hearing the MIDI background and the harmonization of a female voice, exactly like the quality from an album, they were surprised. Leeteuk received a birthday gift that was beyond of what he expected, and became emotional. From the lyrics: "I'm kinda shy, and I'm not good at expressing..."; Because of Super Junior-Happy's "Yoriwang (Cooking? Cooking!)" activities, Eunhyuk is able to spend time with Leeteuk everyday. Eunhyuk said that he would never say it in words, but he would rather express it in a song that comes from the heart. This song can be downloaded from Super Junior Kiss the Radio's official website on KBS.

The government of Hong Kong Special Administration Region published on Tuesday this year's 79 appointments of Justices of the Peace (JPs), among which veteran entertainer Andy Lau was listed as a non-official JP.

Andy Lau said via his publicist that he had sworn in earlier, and "thought it was a great honor," the Shanghai-based Oriental Morning Post reported.

In his 30-year showbiz career, Andy Lau has been noted for his active involvement in charity work.

The singer-actor became the second JP in Hong Kong's showbiz circle, the first being actor Michael Hui who was named so in 2004.

In Hong Kong, Justices of the Peace are essentially ceremonial titles given by the Government to social elites, and to certain officials while in office. According to local regulations, the main function of JPs is to visit prisons, detention centers and other institutions to ensure effective management and to make sure no individual is unfairly treated or deprived of his or her rights.
